Our role was to help cast the design vision and ensure that the homes were well-conceived, scalable and, most importantly, able to be prefabricated in an off-site factory and assembled efficiently and quickly on-site. Proto Houses are designed to change with the owners as their life changes- from flexible spaces and replaceable materials to a infrastructural core that allows for easy maintenance and seamless upgrades in the future. And the majority of the homes systems, from lighting and security to entertainment and energy management are controlled through a network. This allows the home to be controlled by the owner with a mobile app on his smart phone or iPad. Modern living made simpler.
