Skyline Residence

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA | designed while with Belzberg Architects |  The Skyline residence straddles along a steep ridge line in the Hollywood Hills, affording panoramic views from downtown Los Angeles to the Valley. Given the site condition, the guest house and main house were separated creating a central relief space becoming the defacto gathering space - a carport slash patio slash drive-in movie theater.  The formal linear design approach stemmed from both the existing ridge site conditions and the architectural response - creating the solid and open faces thru a series of manipulations of a single continuous plane; a reinterpretation of a full size mobius strip.
